The Northeast Youth Center is proud to announce the Hal McGlathery Scholarship Fund!
Hal and the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department shared a vision for a neighborhood center that would create opportunities for at-risk youth. In 1971, a grant helped open the Northeast Youth Center. In the decades since then, leaders built on Hal’s dream. The Northeast Youth Center became its own non-profit to raise money for neighborhood children. We expanded our programs and became a licensed childcare center. It is impossible to tally the number of children whose lives have been changed by his unwavering commitment. But we know the best way to honor him is to offer the youth he has always believed in the opportunity to live their best lives. Thank you, Hal, for creating a legacy of community support and hope. We invite you to contribute to the Hal McGlathery Scholarship Fund so that every child can receive the care and support they deserve.
