At the Northeast Youth Center, we believe that the care and education of the children in our center is the responsibility of every profile of person that works in the organization. We are fortunate to have a diverse team of caring, hard-working, and professionally blossoming individuals.
Administrative Support

Abbey Hall
I joined the NEYC team in October 2023. I started in the school age program before moving into my current role as an administrative assistant. I was born and raised in Olympia before relocating to Spokane in 2022. Since 2018, my work with children has included working in childcare centers and in-home caregiving. I’m currently attending Eastern Washington University and will graduate this December with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Psychology.
Outside of work, I enjoy crafting of all kinds, from crochet and sewing to puzzles and painting, as well as reading, baking, swimming, and playing video games. I love spending time with my spouse and our pets, which includes a dog, three cats, and four hermit crabs. I am proud to be part of the NEYC community!

Kit Haley
Kit joined the NEYC team in September of 2024 and is excited to be a part of our mission to serve Spokane youth in a caring and engaged environment. She graduated from Whitworth University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In her spare time, Kit enjoys playing board games and keeping her two cats entertained.

Jonathan Hamstra
Jonathan joined in 2022 to help maintain and update all technologies used at the center. He manages anything that beeps, boops, or clicks. His love of computers started in childhood, and continued to grow all the way through graduating from Whitworth University in 2024 with a B.S. in Computer Science.
His goal is to enable all employees at the Center to be able to spend more time with the kids, and less time figuring out electronics.

He is proud to be a part of NEYC and see what an impact it makes on the kids, and he is willing to help out wherever possible to make it the best experience for the kids.
