Cami Eakins
CEO of Career Path Services, member since 2012, Personnel Committee.
“For my entire work-life, I have tried to drive positive change in the world. Through workforce development I discovered how I wanted to make a difference: connecting people to economic opportunity. As a senior leader, I empower those around me to use their strengths, share their opinions and ideas to promote engagement and achievement. I serve on the NEYC Board to support development of children and youth. The work the center does to strengthen families, aligns with my personal and professional values and goals to eradicate poverty.”
Donna Fagan
PreSchool Special Ed. Para Educator for Spokane Public Schools., member since 2005, Development & Finance Committees.
“I became part of the NEYC board for three major reasons. One As a community leader working on the economic development of Hillyard; NEYC fulfilled the safe place for children while their parents worked. It also gave our children role models to look beyond the circle of poverty. As a mother and now grandmother my children had and have a safe caring place to be and a safe way to get there by providing transportation. Lastly, as an educator, individuals help with school work and positive social environments that give self esteem and motivation, with adults who care as much as their parents.”
Kent Wales
CEO of Happy Laundry and Dry Cleaning, member since 2011, Development & Finance Committees.
“I love Spokane! I love the Northeast Youth Center! Serving our community is one of the things that brings me joy and fulfillment. Providing care, love, guidance, food and recreational opportunities to these kids we can help the next generation flourish and prosper. This will help Spokane for years to come. I am honored to serve the Northeast Youth Center.”

After serving a couple of years on the board his career path took him to Yakima, so I asked to take his place on the board. I‘m a teacher and my passion is teaching and supporting the kids in my community. This organization is so valuable to it’s community that we wanted to continue to support it!”
Hal McGlathery

“In 1971 as the Recreation Division Mgr. I wrote a grant to have SPRD assume the sponsorship of three youth centers, including NEYC. NEYC has since been one of my favorite programs, and when I retired in 2004 after 34 years with SPRD, I requested to serve on the NEYC’s Board, and in 2021 I will have been connected to NEYC for 50 years!”
